Foyer Lighting
Renting a house in FL with no lighting?
We are going to move into a place in dec with lights only in the kitchen and 2 bathrooms. There are caps on the ceiling in all 3 bedrooms, living, dining, and foyer area but no chandeliers or any sort of lighting. According to the real estate agent we need to provide lighting for ourselves and take it with us when we move out. Should that not be the landlord's responsibility? should there not be lights in the house before we move in? Thanks
Trainwire..thank you for the answer. That's what I said too...he's just being cheap and it will be very costly for us to install so many light fixtures. But as you've said we don't want to cause conflcit so early...thanks
Over head lighting is not legally required. If there are outlets for table lamps then it is perfectly legal.
You can usually find lamps pretty cheap at places like Big Lots.
EDIT: You do not have to install anything. Why can't you just get lamps? Much cheaper then installing anything.
